Qobuz remembers scrolling position on iOS. I agree, Roon support are known to blame ones network Craff On an unrelated matter, would you have any updates on when to expect the fix for the back button memory so it remembers the scrolling position and not take you back to the top of a page? This issue present in the MacOS app. On my iPhone however it's a VERY painful experience. Yes, am a Roon user and to be honest, it run without issues on my Macbook and with some minor and occasional hiccups on the iPad. What I find is that ROON takes MINUTES to load since its inception-now that is annoying- and their so called 'support' always blames 'my system' if you have ROON it is slow for you and others with Windows?įYI just for humor I begged in French&English to get Qobuz in USA in 2012- I finally got it with a 'French' address of ONEIDA, NEW FRANCE- that is what the northeast USA would have been called if the French had won on the Plains of Abraham-always thought that was pretty cheeky of them So you need a full 'HiFi subscription to get the most out of Qobuz( I just hope my CFO doesnt cancel the subscription when she sees the first bill!).Never opens slowly for me and never causes any problems ever and I have had Qobuz since 2012 or 2013 and at the time had a 'French' address.īut I use a MAC first late 2012 i7 with 16GB RAM and all their iOS through Catalina and now with Mac Mini M1 Mojave also with 16GB RAM-I am not being critical/sarcastic but most ℅ these things come from Windows users maybe it is Windows iOs's? I love the sound reproduction the ability to create endless playlists and the european/french artists in genres i like that i am discovering. Geeshie Wiley and Elvie Thomas two blues female singers from the '20s and 30's spotlighted in last sundays nyt magazine.Their GRATEFUL DEAD JERRY GARCIA AND DAVE GRISMAN roots/acoustic selections are extensive as is Tom Waits Leonard Cohen plus 'covers" of their music. If you can then you are going through the Windows. One other test for exclusive DAC access is whether or not you can play from another app to your DAC at the same time as Qobuz. This means that the macOS CoreAudio mixer is still being used. I find the catalogue EXTENSIVE with titles i never knew existed, like THE BAND at Watkins Glen( my parents wouldnt let me go!) I was disappointed that The Bands 'musical history' wasnt available BUT the so called 'lost band album' by bobby charles was there and i found a new artist by mistake mick charles but then the mono recordings of Dylan were there but only for one minute snippets but i think this will improve. Most of the folk/folkrock/celtic-irish music i like is there and some titles i have have never heard of. On my Mac I can control the output volume from within the Qobuz desktop app (bottom-right of Qobuz app). they stream in lossy 320kbps mp3 which sounds as good or maybe better than MOG especially if played thru PureMusic's playthrough mode then to my schiit audio gungnir DAC WITHOUT the crackles and interferance i get when i play MOG by this format.Įvery time i put in an album or artist all i get are "cover" albums or kareoke albums not the artists albums and if i go to 'playlists' the artists albums or collections of songs come up but i am not allowed to play/listen to them! is this been others experience? is it because its the free trial version? and i cant sign up or pay for it everytime i hit playpal it reverts to top of the ad homepage!any suggestions on how to sign up and pay monthly? is anyone else concerned about the album selection they offer ie only covers or kareoke albums-i have typed in leonard cohen, the grateful dead, levon helm, rick danko, the beachboys, kingston trio, frank sinatra etc and all i get are covers/kareoke albums-or is this a factor of the 7day free trial? i wrote their support team and really didnt get a 'good' answer i guess their english is lackingĬlick to expand.hi danflashman: I finally got QOBUZ to accept my payment and i got the 'HiFi' edition for 19.99 euros/month
